Whether it be in Virginia or in Pennsylvania, this is not a job for 2 men. A party of six would be needed, minimally. In Pennsylvania, you have to go down through clay and shale. The coehorn mortar which was relatively small, weighed 300 pounds and took 4 men to manuever. Jacob Waltz drew a map containing weaver’s needle, miners needle, the saddle mountain ridge, and the four peaks. Weaver’s needle is located to the left of miners needle and in between towards the east high above thunder mountain is the saddle. He drew the four peaks in a line above the saddle as a cipher message which explains one of his clues referring to the saddle as the place where one can see the four peaks lining up as one. Everyone familiar with the story can identify weaver’s needle, miners needle, the four peaks, except the saddle? Why? Because many are sold on the superstitious legends and are blinded to the saddle which lies towards the east 40 more miles pass the Salt River? The others reason is that most don’t climb high enough or look far enough towards the east to catch the view of the saddle! It looks just like the drawing of Jacob Waltz.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37732367.post-75306975837566558562022-08-10T14:30:14.346-04:002022-08-10T14:30:14.346-04:00

Believe anyone who says that the Lost Dutchman’s goldmine is not in the superstitious mountains. Believe that the gold mine is towards the east and the left sidewall of weaver’s needle point towards the mine? Believe Jacob Waltz and the saddle he drew on his map towards the east? Believe that the goldmine lies behind the saddle which sits above thunder mountain. Believe in the Arizona Report who posted a photo of the saddle a few years ago. This photo has the proof of the saddle above the right side in the blue? Some say he was hit by a single shot, some a volley. Some say he died instantly, others say he attempted to get up when hit and was hit again. Each participating Confederate regiment had at least one soldier who claimed to have killed Baker. Fact is, no one knows for sure.

2. The real Horatio Hornblower is Admiral Sir Edmund Nagle, who unlike Gordon was a commander in chief of a RN station off the coast of France (ie Guernsey) was commodore of the Royal Yacht ( ie HMY Royal George) did serve with Admiral Sir Edward Pellew ( on HMS Juno as brother midshipman , and at the Action of 21 Oct 1794) was a Lord ( ie Baronet of Esher) and did marry maria ( ie Mary Harnage Blackman). In "Defence of Poe", written by Dr. John Moran, he gives important clues in what would be today called "Witness Protection" and was spirited away and assumed another identity... probably reverting to his 'Edgar Perry'Secret Alias.
Dr. Moran's story as a witness seems supportive in the book "Israfel", by Harvey Allan... where in his book, he gives accounts of witnesses that saw Poe in his travels, before his Alledged Abduction and Cooping in Baltimore.
From what I researched... there was a very cheap drug that was used at the time called "Datura". It was extracted from the Jimson Weed. It was a form of truth serum that left you delirious and in a hypnotic fog.
In overdose with cheap alcohol... it can be fatal.
In my opinion... Poe was lucky to survive.
What happened to Poe after his ordeal is hinted by Dr. Moran. In my research of Historic Real Estate records of Fordham Village... Northeast of The Poe Cottage, there was another small cottage that was owned by 'Clemm', that was recorded to about 1875. It suggests that Poe's Mother-In-Law, Maria Poe-Clemm lived there. In the late 1880's 1890's a set of houses were built and one of them was owned by a Man named 'Mr. Perry' and he died later in his 90's.
Today "The Clemm Cottage" was rediscovered but tragically destroyed in the mid-1970's and fourtunately "The Perry House Still exists along with "The Poe Cottage". If Dr. Moran's account is correct... it is possible that Poe or Perry, lived to about 1875-1880 and Mr. Perry and his Sister, might have been related to both Poe and Clemm in Fordham Village.
Edward Mochhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02786572991465141543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37732367.post-17782478899856091252021-09-18T20:38:04.384-04:002021-09-18T20:38:04.384-04:00Looking for family connections to general Thomas P...Looking for family connections to general Thomas Posey of the revolutionary war have found letters saying his grandfather was one of my forefathers, my name is Thomas Posey as well, our family is from Fairfax county near the Potomac River beside of Mount Vernon as well as Southern Maryland. I actually heard it...Ummm, no this WAS NOT A PRANK. I actually heard it one night around 1978-79 but it was all the way over on the west side of Huntley Meadows Park and Ft. Belvoir (i.e. Hayfield). I lived right near the tree line and it was the most bizarre vocalization I've ever heard coming out of the woods. No, it wasn't a fox in heat or in distress or a barred owl - I know what those sound like. About three years before that, a friend who also lived near the tree line had his rabbit hutches ripped apart one night with a blood trail going back into the woods. This really freaked us out because there are no bears in that area and there was no way a fox could have done that. A year later a group of kids were back in those same woods one night when something massive came crashing through the woods and knocked a rotted tree over. There was no moon that night so they didn't see it but they said it sounded like a bull dozer coming through the woods. I spent a lot of time in that wilderness area in those years and saw in two separate areas what I now believe to be this cryptid's habitat. One of these areas was way over by the old Beulah Road pass through near Davidson Army Airfield. An MP recently came forward and said one night he had an encounter with this thing around 1978 out near the guard shack in a densely wooded area. But by far, the scariest thing that happened was a deer that was IMPALED on a metal fence post not 50 yards from my house in 1979. There is no other possible explanation for how this deer was impaled and it's more than coincidental that it happened in 1979 right when the U.S. Park police and Fairfax county police were investigating this thing. You tell me how a deer gets impaled on a flat top 4' metal fence pole near the tree line w no gunshot wounds. It was as if something with incredible brute force grabbed it, broke its neck and slammed it on top of that post. I believe it was a cryptid marking its territory. It's easy to think that these things are only in thousands of square miles of wilderness areas but they are more prevalent than you realize in wooded suburban America.
